Also, 15"x27"? Way to screw everyone over who wanted an easy frame job.

I haven't seen it either. Even if it's good, I can't see myself needing that print or a $200 figure of him.

So far only potential Ghost in the Shell and Total Recall prints are of interest to me. The other events seem cool but not enough to get me there. I hope Mondo doesn't pull a Tyler Stout Ghost in the Shell and make it limited like that Akira. But Tyler Stout would have to use his animated style. And after that recent Ghost in the Shell, who knows what Mondo might release. I'm not up for any bad surprises...

A 'fan' comment posted on the Mondo-con web site.

Yawn. More manufactured crap you can only buy on ebay for ridiculous prices from Mondo. They will piss off enough of their fans within 2 years and be done.

You know if Mondo made a maybe list of properties and a definite list of artists, then I would go. I don't like this trust us stuff. The SDCC Ghost in the Shell was a miss. Also, I still can't believe that Tyler Stout Wrath of Khan and not getting Martin Ansin on that one.

As to Mondo disappearing. They made a market and enough people support them. There are people who get stuff just because of the Mondo name or screen print nature. It has to be a really boring print or item for it to sit on Mondo's site. I don't like how it works but I'm happy that I only get the rare Mondo item and haven't had to pay an insane amount for anything yet. I will admit that there are a handful of movies I haven't seen that have Mondo prints. I know eBay scalpers start them at high prices and don't let people bid. Prints like that Dracula from a year or so ago.

I just realized the opening post is missing the full event details. And just remember this event is beyond just posters. No new properties announced yet but I think the line up of artists is pretty great.

Oh and I have been tracking Iron Giant figures on ebay past couple of years now and still haven't been able to find a affordable one in the large size. With Mondo acquiring the license, despite the presence of scalpers I am hoping to finally add one in my collection.
