SUPERMAN - My DC Direct project at TOY FAIR 2006

Hi people. I guess I can show my first DC Direct project since it debuted at Toy fair the other day. I just stumbled upon the pics and was shocked to see it! I didnt know it was debuting at Toy Fair. What a surprise! I get my Spiderman statues from BD today and now I see this!

It is a Superman cover to cover. It's the Origin of Superman. Bear in mind this is not a modern super muscular Superman. It has a clean simple look as depicted on the cover behind the statue. I had a blast working on this! I had to do a bit of thinking to get the cape to freely be suspended on it's own. It looks like it's not glued down in the front, probably because it's a prototype. By the way these are not my pics. The flash has washed them out and lost some of the detail and colors on the statue. I chronicled the wax sculpt in pics. For now I thought these look cool! It's so cool to join Tony Cipriano in contributing to this line. Hope yall like it!

Great work John! I actually really like that classic Supes look. Reminds me of the cartoon I watched as a kid. Can't wait for it to come out.

I like it John because of the simplicity but yet regal of the pose! Do you know how tall it is?
