Yikes. Sorry to hear about this for whomever the owner is. Really, really sucks.

This has made me take notice and I think I need to insure my collection. I know my homeowner's policy has a $5,000 allowance for collectibles, but I just added up my CGC comic collection value at around $17,000...

With all the attention this has been getting, I have a good feeling that they are going to catch the people responsible. I'm sure whoever took the stuff had no idea that the theft would make the channel 5 news in LA.

I found my homeowners policy will cover up to $1000 per piece for breakage. Anything over that for 1 piece needs a special rider.

Good thing he has photos and videos of his collection before the theft so he can prove what he had. We should all do that with our collections to make sure we have a record for police and insurance should something bad happen.

Of course the police should be looking into the people involved with that reality show and who had access to the video. Looked like the thieves knew what they wanted to take before they broke in.

Snakes. Why did it have to be snakes?

That I keep on a flash drive and store in a safe deposit box and once a year i update it and put it back.
Must be different based on states, I did that amount with full coverage and it quoted me $112

This is why I hate people.
This world sucks. Poor guy.

You should be able to freely show your crap without having to worry about it.

Karma will get the bastard. It always does.

I'm sure that's correct and I was quoting an estimate as I don't recall my exact amount. It also provides options such as allowing insuring in other locations (for example, I've had occasions where I have displayed my collection at local libraries and based on my policy with collectinsure.com, any damages occurring while at that location is covered).

The one good thing about statues is they're too much of a pain in the ass to steal.
