I agree entirely!

It's simply on an esthetic level. I like this idea of a subterranean threat, I like these hands which appear from the ground but well, the sculpt, the color choices, it doesn't work with me... I can't really explain why, in fact...
Maybe a base more "dramatic" ...

Hate to be this guy but I'm spending 1K plus shipping I want at least a fair chance at all the portraits. This is still on my radar but it's just rubbing me the wrong way.

$1000 for a statue rubs me the wrong way too.

To be fair, $999 is the 1/3 standard pricing set by the extremely well-financed Prime 1, who has gotten away with offering fewer switch-out options and features (this WW also has LEDs on the based apart from the different hands, weapons and portraits) for the same or more. I don't know what IS's financial situation is, but I imagine lowering the ES based on demand instead of just producing a lot and unloading excess product on retailers costs them more per piece to produce, at least if they want to incentivize the factories to maintain the production schedule instead of prioritizing larger manufacturing orders.

Sideshow wants $750 for Magneto. That's just insane especially when it's only 1/5 scale. Prime 1 statues are quite reasonable giving the detail it has. I think there's added value here.

Pretty sure it's 1/4 scale.

I'm thinking I may cancel my P.O. for this one. Just P.O.'d the new SS PF and now this one has lost its luster. I hate to loss the $100 NDR, but I might do it anyway.

I've been there many times.... That's why I've given up pre-ordering... I hate throwing money away...
If a statue has an Exclusive I want and it goes on the Wait List then I'll usually jump on it and if the order goes live early then I'll gamble and pay the NRD.
But luckily there are very few Exclusives I consider must haves...

I may have to be more selective.
