It's not looking too promising is it?
Aside from eye candy with Olivia Munn, I can't see her bringing any serious bravado to this lineup. Her role as Psylocke left a bad taste in my mouth.
As for the others, I'm not sure what to make of the lack of size, muscles, brawn and star power.
How does this kid fit into this whole scenario? I can only hope he gets a plasma blast by the Predator in the first 5 minutes.

I know I shouldn't judge from 1 cast pic - but this does not make me feel enthusiastic.

I went to a general store. They wouldn't let me buy anything specifically.

Let's face it. Not since the 1st predator, the humans have not been threatening at all.

I still haven't seen that new X-Men movie. But Olivia actually looks good in that pic since she's not all made up.
I don't think this movie will top the first two. The second one is underrated. I'll always believe that. Both are classic 80s movies. At best this will probably be something passable like The Thing remake / reboot.

At least it'll be an R but the kid is gonna add an element no one wants in these movies.
Olivia always looks like she's trying too hard and she's way past prime time for eye candy. Could be replaced with any attractive chick in their 20s with better results. Would hope for some rated R T&A but she's past needing to do that either.
Tired of the same women being recycled just because they are recognizable when they're neither the best in acting or looks.
The Predator would laugh at the rest of that crew. A one armed Carl Weathers is more intimidating.

Keegan Michael Key...interesting. Guy on the left doesn't look like he wants to be there. ...I'm pretty sure guy in the black hat is the predator. Throw in Munn and a kid and you've got a winner.

It does. We're sure this isn't made for TV?

The 2011 Thing is the best prequel EVER.
(* so I'd be happy with THAT definition of "passable" *)

Sterling K. Brown and Holbrook inspire some confidence based on their previous work.
I have zero confidence in Shane Black.
I wonder if this Predator film will have a Christmas setting.

From Cinemablend, here is some more info on the characters...
http://www.cinemablend.com/news/1626...official-image
Although last summer Shane Black said that the main hero, who is now being played by Boyd Holbrook, would be named Quinn Mackenna, none of the characters have been officially identified yet. Fortunately, we do some details about most of them.
- Boyd Holbrook (Logan) is playing a Special Forces Commando
- Olivia Munn (X-Men: Apocalypse) is playing a scientist
- Trevante Rhodes (Moonlight) is playing an ex-Marine and best friend of Holbrook's character
- Keegan-Michael Key (Keanu) is playing a man who will team up with Holbrook and Rhodes' characters
- Sterling K. Brown (This Is Us) is playing a government agent who imprisons the main protagonist before having to rely on him for help against the Predator
- Jacob Tremblay (Room) is playing the main protagonist's son, who is autistic and is the key to communicating with the Predator.
