I went to a general store. They wouldn't let me buy anything specifically.

9/10. Phoenix takes this character to new heights. Not cerebral like Ledger, more demented. Both A+ representations.

8/10 Joker
Good movie, though I didn’t feel bad for the character the way I thought I would - which is good.

Hmm. I did feel bad for the guy. He’s evil now but he wasn’t always. When this thread is labeled “spoilers” I’ll expand on that.

Saw the joker last night. 8/10. Loved the way Phoenix portrayed the Joker. I also liked the way they portrayed Gotham as the cesspool that Batman will ultimately face as he grow older. I also thought it was cool seeing the “creation” of both Batman at virtually the same time as Joker climbs onto the roof of the car as sort of a leader to his followers while Thomas Wayne and his wife are gunned down.
Not your normal comic movie but I thought it was good.

What an amazing film!!!
Great build up to the character.
This is how WB should do their DC films. Same as the Dark Knight.
JLS movie is for kids!!!

I saw it yesterday & really liked it. I'd heard that it stood on it's own, almost outside the DCU, & was happily surprised that it doesn't. Heroes are mentioned, none specifically, in the beginning & as nbr3bagshotrow mentioned, there's a Wayne connection. It made a lot of sense as a Joker' origin story. I wonder how many kids are gonna beg their parents to take them to this because of the Batman association w/ the Joker. I brought my 2 older teens & they liked it, but .... I could see some little minds being blown with their accompanying adults sitting next to them.

Granted, we don't need constant reminders, but in today's world when there's a regular shooting every day and mass shooting or domestic attack every few months...well it's not the media that's perpetrating it.

Hey, I didn't say one way or another. But just like I wouldn't blame a film or a game for one person's actions, I'm not going to blame a media outlet either.
