Its official....im a homeowner!
well my days of slacking off and having little responsibilities are possibly coming to an end...
we are in the process of buying a home...the bid was accepted we were pre approved house was inspected go to contract on thursday and man am i scared sh*tless of growing up!!!!!!!!!
someone talk me out of this!

Owning your own home is the best thing ever and I've never grown up. Still watch cartoons, read comics, collect statues, etc. Getting older doesn't mean you have to grow up.

I've owned a house for a few years now. I sure haven't grown up at all since i got it, hell I have more room for toys now.

as will i.....i just never had any REAL responsibilities in my life and this is a major one,,,,frightens me a bit
i will actually have a whole finished basement and a huge room for myself to display my toys! lol

I get that it's scary. I used to have a great apartment, in a hip part of the city, and I could walk away from it any time I got bored with it. Now I've got a house, it's mine, no landlord to deal with. I can do whatever I want with the property, so in a way I'm even more free.
As for the financial responsibility, really it's just another bill. Don't sweat the length of the mortgage, don't even think about it, wont do you any good. Worse comes to worse you can sell it, it's not a life sentence, bro. Best of luck to you.

tho only thing i would talk u out of is an adjustable rate mortgage. if you haven't signed yet and u are going to be on an ARM.....run and dont look back
