Sometimes it pays off as the piece becomes very valuable like Hulkbuster . He’s doubled in price so shipping doesn’t matter but older statues on relsale you take a beating trying to sell and ship international . Local first

here in germany the shipping isn't anything new. covid didn't do any good, but the prices were awful non the less.

for a normal prime1 statue, which costs $1100, we have to pay 1499 € which is about $1780.

so the extra shipping + customs + vat is pretty normal here. i always had to pick and chose the statues i wanted the most. and for me, XM fits very often.

if a statue ticks all my boxes, i will still buy them.

i can't wait for my thanos & lady death!
even if the shipping + vat will hurt my wallet really bad!

I would go Express... I had a few pieces go economy earlier in the year and took almost 5 months to get... Still waiting on a few more that shipped early July.......

Worth the extra few hundred imo to not have it sitting wherever that long.

Probably a reseller since XM can’t sell Marvel pieces in US.
