I am in the "don't-need-a-story" camp, as these statues speak for themselves. However for those that need a story to make a personal connection, I hope GG can follow through with their intended plans.

My favorites are Whisper and Fireball, I would say. Katya I'm not too sold on her yet.

How many of these do GG plan on selling since the ES hasn't been determined yet even after so long.

When I think about it, the ES debate really does show an issue in the GG camp. We all know why SS handles ES the way they do, but you know it will eventually be revealed. What makes me wonder, look at the smaller companies like Gaming Heads or Tweeterheads, or even Yamato.....these guys get the ES up as soon as they reveal their piece (in most cases)......so why does GG manage it so badly?

I recognise that ES isn't / shouldn't be a big defining factor in statue purchasing.....but of course, the price and how these "collectibles" are marketed suggests there should be an element of exclusivity to their ownership.

Serious. I like the design of Whisper. That's why I'm getting her. But she's just a diver girl with an assumed spy influence to me. She did inspire some commissions I have in mind too.

But I've wanted to know how these characters work together (or against each other) from the beginning. I would have been fine with Gentle Giant just saying "we gave our artists freedom to come up with anything" too. But I recall stuff was hinted at. That was the delay.

At this point, Gentle Giant should put up more artist concepts or a simple text/video interview. It wouldn't hurt anything to know more about where Whisper's design came from. I don't like the racing girl statue that much but I want to know more about her too.

PS - This is also the longest I've ever seen a statue go without an edition size announced.

A little back story of each girl would had been awesome. I hope they put something on the box explaining who or how the honey traps came to be. Regarding the TBD, it's extremely long not to reveal it giving the fact it's been over a year when whisper was up for preorder.

I assume the normal box will be similar to the variant. I remember asking the people here that got the variant if there were story details on the box. I can't wait to get the normal. Everyone who has the variant really likes it. Only the one guy on youtube sold his. The rest kept her or they were flippers to begin with.

I don't think they gave one for the Darth Vader / Kids statues until right before it was going to be shipped. Not sure why they do this unless it's to keep flippers away (shrug)
