I need to be reading this, haha!
I have figures bought back in 2004 and in 2009.
Wasn't as careful back then as today and some got dirty...

White Phoenix, blue Batgirl and Emma Frost as far as I know. Not seen any reports on the gold paint on Spiderwoman.

One thought on this. Many office buildings, including generally clean ones, will spray for insects once or twice a year over the weekend. Typically, they'll spray for gnats and stuff as well. Depends on how good the communication is in your office whether you hear about it or not.

I had a few things displayed at my office that mysteriously ended up sticky. Not high end statues, but just a couple of football helmets. I couldn't figure out how they could end up with this almost sticky glaze on them. None of my items at home ever did. That's when I thought about airborne bug spray.

We would sometimes get an email telling us not to leave anything food related on our desktops on a certain weekend. I'm convinced that the stickiness could be bug spray.

I'm thinking that might not be the best thing to get on your statues.

I know its not from pest control spray. They come out during the day. They spray the base boards once a year.

I almost have him cleaned. I took him apart and only was able to clean part of him. Going to finish him up this weekend and bring him back to work next week.

yeah the gold paint on mine became sticky with the blue Batgirl still sealed in it's boxed, it was never opened.. But Koto replaced it with a new one, gotta give them props for that given how old it was. I noticed on the new one the gold paint was a different shade, so looks like they fixed the issue.

Maybe its better not to wash them? I mean they get sticky again and the more you wash them the more the paint is gonna get worn?
