In SC1 & 2 I would use mainly Nightmare and second Cervantes. Now in SC4, since Nightmare is totaly rearanged (same as Jin in Tekken 4) I have to use Siegfried who had more or less the same moves as Nightmare and isnt rearanged all that much.
