I generally work from home too (although not self-employed). Please let us know how it works out HeavyMetalSpike.
Another option is to have these sent to my corporate office? I could only imagine the "what the hell?" from the mailroom though, lol.

I live in Northeast Ohio, about 2-1/2 driving hours South of Windsor and 3-1/2 driving hours Southwest of Niagara Falls.
Would it save anyone money for me to take their statues Northward to either of these points? I've never been too familiar with the customs rules. Would it be just as bad for me, an American citizen, to carry them across the border and hand them off to their owners'? Does it make more sense for Canadians to meet me on the U.S. side along the border?
I want to help. I feel bad y'all are getting shafted like this.

Sideshow
Created a new SHIPPING address labelled as "Work address".
Set the first name to "Deliveries" and last name to "Manager"
Set Company to my Company name
Rest of details set to Company (= our home) address
Made it the "default" address.
Applied it to all existing orders.
Deleted the old/original SHIPPING address I had been using.
The BILLING address has MY name though - do I need to change that? - if so, I can't do it online so guess I'd have to email Sideshow to change that?
FedEx
I'll phone them tomorrow and see if I can change the account name to the Company name. Sound about right?
I really appreciate the help - thank-you!

a lot of this seems unfair, and maybe this is a naive question but why aren't Canadians voting against all these taxes and start electing candidates who are more fiscally conservative?

Your billing info should remain the same. It ties in with your credit card.
You should be able to change your company name on the FedEx account manager profilez
I still think that the people getting hit with the 6.5% tariff tax should dispute it. CBSA are wrong and they know it.

Thanks again!

that is very kind of you but not needed. Anyone can pay a tiny fee and have the statues shipped to a local mailbox service who will hold them for you. The problem is getting across the border. You will still be hit with this 6.5% duty and taxes.

Received my Hulk vs Wolverine today. My have the taxes grown since the last time I got a piece from SS!
$649.99 Piece... Then they include shipping on the invoice, so the value is north of $700, that can't be right.
+34% exchange + 13% hst +6.5% duty +$10 FedEX fee
$208.25 later. Lol, I have bought statues for this price.. crazy.
