True, after James Franco won the Golden Globe for best leading actor in a comedy or musical, an Oscar nomination at the very least was expected, but the entire film got shut out except for a mention in the best adapted screenplay category.

First 5 minutes in and I was like wtf. Didn’t IGN give this a 9/10 lol.

Awesome movies with awesome surprises. It's a bit over the top in the humor category but it works. No spoilers but I thought Domino was amazing!!

And STAY for the after credit scene!!

It’s clear that they let Ryan Reynolds do whatever the hell he wanted, which should have been a good thing but mmm it was a bit too much . Some great moments ofcourse but too many moments on the whole.

Another thing missing this time around was the great story weaving that first one did so cleverly , this time it’s very formulaic with all the acts glued together but the seams are visible this time around. Great suprises like WOW! , not sure how they kept it so quiet.

Where we had beautifully crafted action set pieces in D1 thanks to Tim Miller who knows how to strike that balance here we have David Leitch who is inching closer and closer to Michael Bay territory with his loud and average action scenes.

On the whole it’s not a bad movie but it isn’t very special either .

Also if you did not like the first one you are going to absolutley hate this one.

Alien Covenant 6/10

Watched this last-night. It was ok. Better than Alien 4. Probably better than Alien 3 - which i've never been a fan of. The Aliens in Convenant, all appear to be CGI, which sometimes works to great effect, at other times less convincing. The biggest problem i found was, there's just wasn't all that much going on. There is a back-burster (rather than a chest-burster) which was done well, and another scene with a larger black Alien, which was great, but i won't go into detail, as that would be a spoiler. The fact reamain's, the original Alien is still the best by a long long shot.
