thanks brother!
so here is officially the last completed project for 2022 and first completed one for this years sculpting season. i started this last year and decided to just finish it before moving on to larger items
this is inspired mostly by the mezco designer series keaton batman that he will be displayed next to. if youre not familiar its basically a caricature sculpture and since i love caricatures and dont have room for anymore large scale movie pieces these were perfect
if im to be honest i did not like this suit when it was first shown, i thought it looked silly but have since grown to love it. the shape of the sides of the mask with skull features, the armor plated look without being too bulky - i dont know it just works for me. i love the keaton suits but seeing something as functional as this that could exist in the real world is just cool to me
base was a mcfarlane movie figure, head was bought off cg trader (unfortunately i dont remember the artists name, they did an amazing job though) and had it printed by a guy off etsy. from there i shortened the legs and arms by about an inch, swapped the boots and gloves for 1/6 scale pieces, sculpted the neck area and collar, repainted the whole thing and called it good
this was just for fun to try something different, im happy with the end result but have decided i hate working with action figures. the material they are made out of can be difficult to work with
