I think it retailed for $100 in 2001. Not super expensive, but it was definitely a bait and switch. The prototype actually looked good.

Mine eventually fell off a shelf and broke apart. I didn't much care.

The chair appears to have taken quite a hit.
The chair looks mighty large. If she was to sit in the chair the correct way, she would only take up half the width.
Maybe the chair belonged to a wide-load.
