MK: Action pose or Stoic pose

With the MK line there is the potential to have action and stoic poses mixed throught the line. We had previously discussed this concerning Shao Kahn here on the forums. My point of contention is that while a majority of the characters can possibly have action poses, collectors have come to love the definitive stoic poses that were introduced with the SF line. Keeping in mind that the MK line does not have alternate costumes to use for the exclusive (classic costumes have been discussed but not approved, yet) so the exclusive has to be made with one sculpt. Secondary sculpts or extra switch out torso or bottoms are not even a consideration, due to cost effectiveness.

Stoic Kitana Example

I think the Stoic pose for Kitana is full of all kinds of win. The other thought behind her pose is that Mileena and Jade could be designed in a similar sexy manner allowing for a awesome and unique dio display of all three MK beauties.

I was trying to find the single fan throw, but also remember the pose sculpted has to be a finishing pose or a pose, action or stoic, that works alone without the exclusive and displayed with the exclusive.

Yes it is the new Kitana, if you compare both pics you can see the similarites. I too am a classic costume enthusiast.

Lets take subzero, while there are lots of great action poses to choose from, my thoughts are that collectors will really want a head rip or torso rip fatality pose. So the core statue will have to be Subzero with his right arm out streched, this would be the core statue. The exclusive would be a head with spine or a new fatality of the upper torso of the victum. But see that doesn't completely work because most collectors won't buy just a statue of subzero with just an out streched arm.
