I just watched Vacancy with Luke Wison and Kate Beckinsale.
Not too much blood and guts, but a pretty good movie.
Had some good scary parts.

I just watched "28 Weeks Later" with my wife and we both loved it. Good story, plenty of good scares, and most important...lots of gore.

A 2 disc NBC soundtrack came out with the release of NBC 3D last year, its got other bands doing songs too like fall out boy, Elfman's is still the best though.
lol, your son knows the good stuff.

Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein(1948) predates Martin and Lewis' Scared Stiff(1952)by only 4 years yet the latter's just as much zany Halloween fun as Bud & Lou's monster flick.
Jerry and Dean find themselves stowaways on a cruise ship eventually ending up on a very haunted island off the coast of Cuba. What I love abour Dean and Jerry movies, although Bud and Lou's had them too, are the suave and "wish I could have a drink there, ****tail-lounge scenes. Scared Stiff has a great Bar scene w/ Jerry repeating his famous 'mouthing to the lyrics' bit of a crazy song.
The spook stuff is great B&W fun. Would be great as a back to back w/ Bud and Lou's Hold That Ghost.

I think Scared Stiff is a remake of The Ghost Breakers (1940) with Bob Hope. If you like the Bud & Lou stuff you'll like Ghost Breakers.

I just watched Planet Terror last night and I freakin' LOVED it.
It's not so much scary as just absurd and full of gore.

Absolutely correct on this one. The reason I picked Scared Stiff over Ghost Breakers is only because I prefer it just a tad. Hope's version is great too. I just love the nightclub scenes on all these flicks. Bud and Lou often used the Andrew Sisters, Jerry and Dean used Dean.

Finally was able to watch Day of the Dead...I know..forgive me..it took a while. I loved it. Absolutely relished every minute of it. Zombie goodness from beginning to end. I really love traditional makeup and special effects. One thing I don't like about some of the newer zombie flicks is the animated blood. When a zombie gets domed you see this fake animated blood shooting and out and it bums me out. The effects in this 22 year old movie were amazing.
