As to the size, it looks taller than it is wide. Maybe they listed it in reverse and it's really 11.25" tall & 9.5" wide??? Ah this is DC Direct, so probably not! I'm not sure I like it anyway. I'm not that big a Jim Lee fan.

Dark Knight,
Actually I was agreeing with superhero on his statement about DC are run by idiots...at least on the statue area!

Until DC makes actually fullsize statues instead of medium sizes (but advertised as fullsizes), I will always buy Marvel!

It is a retelling of Robin's origin story. The problem with it is Batman. In this story Batman acts so inconsistenly with all his established history as to almost make this an elseworlds tale. For example, without any real spoilers but just in case, stop reading now:

Batman laughs manically.

Batman is apparently disguising his voice to sound like Clint Eastwood, which to Robin sounds rediculous instead of scary.

He is outright mean and hateful to this distraught little boy that just lost his family mere moments before. I understand cold and uncaring but being purposefully mean, which is stated in the story...come on!

Batman runs Gotham cops over in his car then blasts them with the jet engines killing them. etc.

I can accept elseworlds stories and if this were one, I would still hate it. It is neither interesting or particularly well written...a huge disappointment as I was really expecting a lot from Miller after the debacle that was DK2.

At first I was bummed out by the fact that is was so similar to the Infantino sculpt. then I looked at my action figure collection and realized that I really like the fact that I have multiple Batmans and they all strike similar poses. it's neat to see the evolution. i may pick this up. by the way am I the only robin fan on the planet?

Is there an industry standard or are you basing you size critique on the BOWEN FS scale? maybe the medium size, as you put it, is as big as DC wants to go hence the FS monkier

I love Dck Grayson during his Robin era. another statue that will display nicely with this one is the Nightwing statue. Exact same base as the Infantino one. I wish they would do one with just Batman on the base with the Scott McDaniel era design (pouch belt introduced in No Man's Land).
