Detolf owners, please read re: custom acrylic riser
I'm trying to convince an ebay seller to make a custom 2 tier acrylic riser that would fit on each shelf of the Ikea Detolf cabinet and wanted your input. I also wanted to find out who would be interested just to get a head count so he can justify the demand for it. The riser is originally intended forr GG busts but it should easily accomodate other busts. About 9 busts should fit in total, 3 busts on the actual shelf, 3 on the 2nd level of the riser (elevated), and 3 on the top level.
Length of entire rack across= 15 inches
Depth of entire riser= 7 inches
Height of entire riser= 8 inches
Depth of each platform = 3.5 inches
Height between each level = 4 inches
The setup will be similar to the picture. The actual riser will be made of clear acrylic. Let me know what you think and if the measurements need changing. Cost would be about $30 each.
Thanks!

Hmmm . . I just use three regular 5X5 risers in my DETOLF and I'm pretty happy with how it looks. Granted I can only fit 6 mini-busts per shelf vs. the 9 you're looking to display but I think I like the spacing better that way so I'd most likely pass.
Here is a pic of how I have mine setup.

The goal is to maximize space usage while providing optimum display visibility. The 2 tier approach like yours is commonly used but you notice that there is still unutilized space on top. But hey, if it works for you, that's coo...

Hey guys, Finally got the riser made. Here is how the final product looks on the Detolf with bowen busts. Will only work on the lighter busts. Can't accomodate BAT, BRB, Doom, Taskmaster, etc. because they are too bulky and heavy.
