Eagles want more than a first round pick for Kolb. I wonder if they will get it. I hope not from my Dolphins.

I wouldn't give up a 1st for Kolb. I wouldn't give up more than a 3rd.

Rumor is that AZ already offered their 1 (the friggin #5 overall pick) and that Philly also want either another later round pick or a pick next year

Wow. If Arizona does that it only makes my dream of having Larry Fitz in a Pats uniform that much more plausible. Kolb was annointed the starter in Philly and couldn't keep it. Granted, Vick had a great year, but if for a #5 overall pick? You need to be a bonafide starter or a franchise QB. The Eagles drafted him in the second round and his on field performance just didn't impress me.

I agree with that 100% (well except Fitz going to NE )

I suppose the flip side is with the #5 overall pick you will have go give just a ton of money guaranteed, especially with a QB, on the front end for a guy that may or may not be any good (see Akili Smith, Ryan Leaf, Rick Meirer, Alex Smith, et al). At least with Kolb you get a guy that has been learning in the league for 2 yrs under an acknowledged QB development coach and is already under contract for at least a year at a somewhat reasonable salary.

I still wouldn't do it though. I'd get Bulger or Palmer way cheaper and still use my draft picks for myself.

Why are rule changes being talked about when the season is still up in the air?!?!?
