Harley Quinn 1/3 by Iron Studios
This arrived today..
When this piece was first revealed, part of me liked it, part of me was unsure.
Fact is, i knew from the get-go, this piece had it's own special style, which did not fit with my collection, thus i held off purchasing.
There were 3 portraits, 2x good portraits, 1x weird not so great portrait.
Then came the YouTube reviews. Collectors were impressed, very impressed, which further compounded my original views of just how great this piece was.
Then i spotted a deal too good to be true
Sideshow Collectibles - $1205.00 USD
Iron Studios - $1199.99 USD
Toys Wonderland - $659.88 USD
$659.88 USD for a 1/3 scale Iron Studios piece that has 3 portraits and a light up feature.
OMG!
The piece arrived today. Both the box and the statue arrived in perfect shape.
Size wise, the piece seems slightly smaller than Prime 1 Studio 1/3 scale, but way larger than Sideshow 1/4 scale. The box is very heavy.
What drew me to this piece from the get-go was the pose and attitude of Harley and the amusement park theme. This Harley no super-model, she is grotesquely crazy looking.
The red glossy crash hat on the portrait (pictured) looks so well done, super smooth.
The Joker ride oozes that made from fibreglass vibe associated with fairground rides.
The large Hyena is obviously a teddy / soft toy associated with fairground prizes.
The lights on the base, powered by USB, work a treat.
Anyway, all i can say is, i really really like this piece.
How do Toys Wonderland offer such great deals?
Maybe they struggled to sell the piece, and decided to move it on, who knows?
