Cross country skiing is great if you live in a small country.

I suspect the wait won’t be too long, as SS has really cutdown the reveal/order/delivery time process, pumping out product at a pretty frenzied pace. My expectations for Surfer are cosmic high, as SS is really nailing the creative/hyperdetailed depictions of these characters. Sideshow’s strength has always been subtle brilliance, with strong portraits and gesture. I feel they are really hitting the mark.

Surfer is one of the purer/simplest character designs, so production process is pretty straight forward, don’t think SS will drag this one out. Hoping for October delivery, with everything in between from now til then.

I hope he's riding cowgirl style on his surfboard, with weird little feet dangling off the side.

We probably would’ve seen it during 12 Days or at least a silhouette if it were going to be sooner. Who knows, maybe they’ll surprise us. In the past when they showed logos or concept art it normally took a while to see the actual statue.

I'd agree with the SDCC speculation. The reason it wasn't shown in silhouette at 12 days could be that the sculpt either wasn't complete or hadn't been approved by either Sideshow or Marvel, possibly both.

When a company has a license all the pieces need multiple approvals; Concept, Design, Sculpt, Paint etc. before being shown.

That being said I don't think Sideshow would announce anything that wasn't in the sculpt approval phase. I'd speculate they're probably 2-4 months out from full approvals, depending upon if there are any changes so July makes the most sense for a full reveal and it also gives them a large stage to do it on.

Again all speculation but from what I know of how process works both from my own experience and people I know that'd be my guess.
