Watched my first Hockey Game on saturday and loved it.

One or two minor bits of "roughing" but no full on fist fights.

Going again in 2 weeks time

I prefer Olympic hockey. More about finesse and skating skills than brute force.

Watching hockey on tv is just kinda eh to me. But watching it live at a stadium is totally different. You get pulled in pretty quickly.

funny you say this, my buddy and I were talking and I pointed out that sports like Hockey and baseball translate better live than on Tv. To the average fan while watching at home you get bored.
As for Football, its so much a better experience on TV. Depending on your seats you only really see half the game and when the players have their back to you it's hard to follow the game. Even with this flaw football is still thriving with ticket sales.

I want to to go a game live, The only thing I can't seem to understand is why on earth is this not played outside?

Some players just got mosquito bites and dont want to play.

Try playing outside in places like Florida and let's see what will happen.

The quickest way to double your money is to fold it in half and put it back in your pocket.

To me, what makes hockey players the toughest is in the shot blocking. Intentionally throwing your body in front of a puck traveling over 100 mph...now THAT is tough! And crazy...

Glad you enjoyed it!

Some people think enforcers are just a bunch of thugs but it's not true. People close to the game know that the enforcer role is arguably the hardest position to play, mentally and physically, in hockey.

Olympic hockey is great! But IMO, nothing beats a blend of finesse, skill & physicality...that's where it's at and that's how hockey was meant to be played! I'll be the first to admit, the NHL definitely doesn't bring that blend to viewers nearly enough.
