I'm not defending this particular piece, but Blitzway uses PVC for their portraits (Rocky, Marilyn, etc) and they look fantastic.

Looking fantastic is the part Sideshow needs to work on.

This is what worried/worries me with Suicide Squad Harley when I said the likeness was hanging on by a thread. One of my main gripes on this front is how conservative Sideshow can be with eye size, almost as if they're paranoid about making them cartoonishy big. The Pfeiffer Catwoman's prototype portrait had them too small, but they at least didn't appear to further shrink to squinty levels after production. I think it's because the red underlining is more pronounced, but the likeness is robbed by the post-onion-chopping look the eyes have going on. If SS went for more expressive portraits, the same way they take risks with dynamic poses--or did characters mostly covered in makeup like Darth Maul--the issue could be more easily overlooked, but I find it glaring in pictures and video. I'm hopeful the upcoming Star Wars pieces will turn out better, as the mixed media looks outstanding IMO.

I must be the odd ball, I think the statue looks pretty good and will check it out in person at the comic shop when it releases to make decision about buying it.

Perhaps Prime 1 upped the game too much. We, as collectors, need to lower our standards.

I don't think I've ever seen an Out of the Box video get more thumbs down than this piece, 89. I can't believe they released this with the portrait looking so bad.

Just had a quick go at it in Photoshop putting a much better portrait of Gal Gadot's likeness on the statue. I would have bought it in heartbeat if it looked like this.

I will admit that looks better. Great PS job on it.
