However I can appreciate that Chad was thinking outside the box with the release of this type of statue.

I don't want the statue game to turn into the comic industry in the 90's. There are too many companies making too many cool things for me to spend the money collecting three variants of the same statue.

Funny thing is that it wasn't being thought about until several people (I'm guessing customizers) asked for some unpainted. I think depending on the success of this we will see more. You really appreciate the sculpt more so on the Robin and Batgirl base.

Neat idea but I will stick with my comic accurate muddy version. I can see how this would be appealing to someone wanting to customize the paint. As for me I do not have that level of talent. LOL
And I agree generalzodlives....we need a KRYPTO!

A faux bronze paint up would look pretty good on this.

Fairly simple to do....prime it, paint it gloss black, get some metallic bronze acrylic paint from the craft store and dry brush it on. Seal with a satin coat. Sponge some patina in the crevices for bonus points. Faux bronze 101
I did this years ago to a McFarlane dragon, it's a simple technique:

Nice work. I think I would want a tad bit of color mixed in though. Like Bowen did with his.

Gotcha. That was a good look. Maybe a base coat of blue first on the appropriate parts for that bit of contrast. Cool!
