Yes shipping is a killer for us USers, but now we know how some of the internationals feel. I'd love to see XM get a US distribution license so I can save $.
Yea, price is going to be killer! I'm really looking into rearranging my wants and refocusing my funds so that I can manage all of this. It's like playing chess right now ...how do I strategize my moves so I can win.

I'm trying to reason my way out of this as well, HB. Trying! Price could be the kicker. I may just pick up the Sentinel to display with my Kotos and Bowens.

A grueling chess match this is. Not only the price to own but also the price to display, unless you want these pieces out in the open!

Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

That sounds very classy!

I'm really in two minds on this alliance piece. I think magneto as a standalone piece is widely considered a masterpiece and rightly so. This however should knock him out of the park for the pure scale alone, let alone the overall concept.

Its just whether you have the space to adequately display it and the space in your wallet. Sure that if you did get it that it would be more than worth it in the end.
Well that's part of it too, Bob. I think once the realization set in that these dios will easily be in the $3,000 to $4,000 range each to get them to my door step, I came to the conclusion that I don't absolutely love the subject matter like I need to in order to invest that much money in them. We are talking easily several years of my collecting budget if not more invested in just these dios. That's a tall order and for me I realized I just don't have that kind of attachment to them. I agree, though, these dios will indeed be the definitive X-MEN collectible.

Thanks! But only if I can put it together and get the whole Dio.

The quickest way to double your money is to fold it in half and put it back in your pocket.

At what point in the year do you think we'll get more concrete info on this set or the other set? I'd kind of need to see both or at least know the art direction of the other before choosing.

Well they did say it would be 2016 before you could Pre-Order any of it, so I imagine were still several months away before we see anything like 3d prints..

Nice idea! I have a buddy that does amazing acrylic work (mostly for the aquarium industry). I'll see what he can do for me...

Let me know what your friend says. I'm interested to know feasibility and cost. Thanks!
