501st Legion Trooper Helmet EPIII Limited Edition

I received an e-mail a short while ago from Master Replicas letting me know that they were putting the 501st Limited Edition version up for pre-order, starting tomorrow for Collector's Society members and Thursday for regular customers.

The difference is apparently that this one has battle-wear, as opposed to the original "clean" version.

I didn't get the first one, myself, so I might pick this up, but for the people who already have it, what's the interest level on this?

I know some people lamented the fact that the original edition was pristine, rather than worn, so I'm guessing at least a few people will care.

And would someone mind telling me what the edition size was for the previous version? It's not listed anymore and I can't recall how many were produced.

the Special Ops helmet had an edition size of 750

Other than the battle damage, is there any difference,that you can tell from the picture they've posted, between the special ops helmet and the legion helmet?

It doesn't seem to me like there are any other differences, but I'm going from recollection and I can't seem to find any decent reference pictures anywhere.

i believe there were slight differences in paint application (dull vs shiny glossy) and thickness around the "nose bridge" area. this is the pristine version i'm talking about. no idea on this one but if it looks as good as Gree then i'll be happy.

My 501st Legion helmet came today.

I haven't opened it yet, because I haven't decided whether I'm keeping it, or sending it back.

Has anyone else gotten theirs yet, though?

Did anyone else even order it? There wasn't much talk about this one.

was the color on these painted on or were they stickers? That was the main reason I passed on this.
