first impressions of thurs night is that the place is empty compared to last year.
meaning not many statue variety, just the normal bowen statues that are a dime a dozen on ebay, With very very few DC busts/anime and even rarer sideshow items (saw maybe 10 ss items). Only saw one guy selling a pop culture ryu (didnt ask price) and that was the only thing i could see that stood out from the mass of common items.
Seems to be more anime booths floating around even tho the anime area is upstairs but was closed tonight. Wont open till tomorrow. Was more swords and anime cosplay booths this year compared to last year as well.
Typical comic booths tho, lots of the older stuff with less newer cheaper books.
But this was all i could see first night roaming around after i got to be first for a Alvin Lee commission.
I got to play Street Fighter x Teken since everyone was at the MVC3 area, but that will change this weekend.
Will see how tomorrow goes.

Last year I spent easily $100 at that "centrally-located" comics/hb/tpb dealer... they had SO many hardbacks/tpbs... with their prices chopped in half or less.
