Hi-Ex Haul

Ok, so this weekend Hi-Ex made a return to Inverness after taking a year off, and I got some nice pieces in the Charity auction. Didn't get many sketches from the guests as Gary Erskine never got round to my Rocketeer request, but he said he would mail it to me and Colin MacNeil had trouble drawing Count Dooku(to go nicely with the AWESOME GMT that he did for me) from the reference that I gave him, so he said he would google up some images and mail it or see me at Glasgow comic Con.

I did ask John Higgins to Draw me the Crimson Corsair - the back up story similar to Tales of the Black Freighter, that he is doing for Beyond Watchmen, But he told me he signed a contract with DC and cannot do anything.

So here is what I got(links to CAF included)

only sketch:

Michel Rodrigue Obelix

all charity pieces(most was £45 I think...?)

Book Cook Elephantmen

Bryan Talbot Dead Boy Detectives

11th Doctor piece by Thomas Criley

Beware of Gary Erskine; he promised to mail me a Miracleman sketch that he couldn't get too -- a year later and he still hadn't done it and I had to get a fellow artist to really get on him at a show to get it and then he did a hack job. I will never get anything from Gary Erskine again. Michael

I know Gary personally though. He's a nice guy IMO. Have bought Original art off him in two different occassions and sketches for free. Plus unlike with Colin MacNeil, I haven't handed any money over, so nothing to lose!

I was expecting just a sketch of Obelix's head, so really chuffed with that one
