Lol, I know it may seem crazy but people have different opinions at times on what they like.

I doubt Sideshow had much to do with that piece, other than Prime 1 piggybacking off the back of Sideshows 1/4 scale licence.

Finding ourselves snowed-in, decided to go ahead and just ordered me some Venom.
Dig the movement, anatomy, hunting/lurching vibe, and the size of this delicious monster will be impressive. Even the portrait is starting to look more menacing to me than initially thought. A wider, more gaping lower jaw would have conveyed more evil menace, but as is, will serve well.
Besides, in some of those comparison pics, Venom's head & hands look big enough to stab the apple, & bite it's head off. Easily. A Canale beast of a sculpt, that when in hand, will be impossible to ignore. A monster.

I know what you mean. What I find crazy, is how on earth can some actually believe that the stiff/cookie cutter anatomy, stiff posing, dead head portraits, crude sculpting, & heavy handed paint apps for both Prime Bats Hush & Supes, are considered to be the best representations of those characters???????
Absolute madness!!!!!!
You've been Primed. And they won.

There?s no point in trying to understand someone else?s opinions and preferences. That?s for them to understand, disagreeing with opinions is fine.
That said, my personal (licensed) Venom 1/4 rankings:
1. XM - I like it a lot
2. Prime 1 - I like it mostly
3. Sideshow Comiquette - it?s ok, not great
4. Sideshow New PF - decent sculpt but overall doesn?t work for me
5. Sideshow old PF - just no

Looks like a good ranking system for any statue.

True. I totally agree with Peedi's ranks, and I usually don't agree with his comic accurate or fail approach

Me too. I've grown to really dislike the P1 Venom. Normally, I don't advocate for unlicensed, but in the case of Venom, a lot of the unlicensed pieces absolutely blow away any of these licensed.
