Framing Pencil Heavy Artwork?

Figure since there are so many art collecting gurus in here someone would know the answer to this.

I got a piece of art that was done in pencil. There is a lot to it. So my question is what is the best way to frame this type of artwork?

Obviously i dont want to smear it or have the graphite rub off. Any special treatment?

So long as you use a matte along the border of the piece so the actual artwork isn't touching the glass, you should be ok.

if the piece is graphites and charcoals I would have it sealed. Just for the pieces protection I stopped having my stuff framed and matted years ago due to damages by shops.
