Looking closer at the pictures of the revamped version, which I happen to like a good bit, it looks as though there are also some changes to the base. You can't see much, but in both of the pictures next two Wolverine, you can see raised, thinner pieces of metal come up behind his knees. Specifically, in the picture with the blue magnetism effects, you can also see thin, pointed metal sheets coming near his right leg.

Neither of these were present in the original reveal. Looks like there may be more edits to reveal.

was wondering about that too, wasn't sure if that was an added piece or jus background art.

My thinking is they added/re-did the base to match the new pose of the left arm. Since it is raised up, it would make sense to have metal rising up towards him.
