Thanos Quest is one of the best Thanos stories!

I think becoming the enemy of the Silver Surfer may have been when the character really started to catch on.
Definitely. And that didn't happen until the middle of the second SS run in the early 1990s. He seems to be almost non-existent in the comics from the end of the Captain Marvel run in the late 1970s to those Surfers.

Yeah he really wasn't fleshed out until the early 90s. I think that's when Quest and Gauntlet also happened.
That was really the height of my comic book reading. I was fifteen and those stories are still some of my favorites.

Yeah, comics can be annoying like that especially since all the Marvel movie hype started. I remember 8-10 years ago, high grade (NM) copies of Iron Man 55 could be had for $400-$600; now you're paying upwards of $3K.

Well said! They are the fathers of Thanos!

To me, Magneto is easily MY FAVORITE (the best) Villain in Marvel from a story stand point. His motives there were all wayyyyyy more justified, where as most others just felt like butt-hurt cry babies. Venom, visually, because, Venom
