Sorry, I misread your post as you mentioned the heating part on the smoke piece. I’m trying to figure out how to heat the peg part of her foot and not having to contact with the purple resin part as it’s more fragile. Not sure if that makes any sense or not.

Ah I see. On mine, I didn't have to heat up the key on her foot to make it fit.

But if I had to ...I'd aim the hair dryer only on the key on her foot. Try to avoid the purple resin close to her foot. You might have to bring the key closer to the hair dryer to get better aim. But that also mean you might need to set the hair dryer on low or medium heat.

Im nervous trying it. I have no clue how long that peg is and the purple resin scares me to death since its so close to it. Trying to figure if I can shield from the hair dryer.

Is the rod protruding out of the key grossly misaligned with the hole in the base?

Cause heating up the key is all you're trying to do. Not the rod (or peg). And you can aim the hair dryer away from the purple resin and just direct the heat to the key.

Its kinda like having the faucet on and dipping the tip of a fork in the the running water to wet only the tip. So you're just dipping the key into the running hot air coming out of the hair dryer.

Apologies if i'm over explaining things.

I’m confused. What do you mean by key? Here’s the pic underneath her feet / peg area.

Hmm ...I think we're using different terms for the same thing. That black piece protruding out of her left foot is what I call the key ... and you're calling it the peg. Just need to heat up the peg (aka the key).

Sorry …was thinking of the metal rod coming out of the key as the peg.
