I almost started a thread for this exact same thing!

The art I've seen posted here is better than I've seen from any SDCC or any other con in recent memories!

Can't wait to see the other pieces you all got from Rahsan!! Please post them!!

Artwise, I think NYCC was stellar. Great hauls were had by everyone that has posted so far. As far as the rest of the con... I don't know since I didn't venture out of artists alley much at all.

The artist lineup as amazing and everyone walked away with some gorgeous pieces. Content wise, the rest of show was pretty lame. There were no big announcements, no significant panels (outside the "Walking Dead" panel on sunday, in which the footage they show looked pretty spectacular), just not a lot going on. NYCC 2009 definitely had a ton more stuff. I think that Marvel and DC definitely missed a huge chance to promote the Thor and Green Lantern movies, as this was the last big convention between now and the release of the movies. heck even the cos-players seemed pretty unenthusiastic about the whole thing.

Artwise, it was phenomenal and I'm blown away by some of the pieces you all got. I haven't heard from anybody who went who wasn't looking for art though. How were the comic prices? Action figure prices seemed pretty high to me. I didn't go to any panels or buy any comics. I was hoping to get a blank cover Walking Dead #75, but Ultimate Comics (I think it was them) wanted $50 for it so that was an easy pass. I do agree that the big companies missed out on promoting their movies and their booths were poorly designed. Companies like IDW and Boom did a much better job IMO.

Does seem like there are a ton of great pieces from the NYCC show. And JG hasn't shown his haul yet so there is still more to come.

When the Aussies post their stuff... I've seen a good portion of it and the art is spectacular!

Shawna and I did real well. Even scored on some X-Files autographs and a few rare Marvel cards. Which we haven't done in years.

Hopefully, with a joint effort, we'll have some pics posted in the next 30hrs. No guarantees though. Work, chores, firewood, and I think a tattoo for one of us is going to keep us busy for the next 30hrs and beyond.

But most of all, we enjoyed immensely, meeting all of you that attended.
