I think most people prefer everything from the first. I ordered the bust happily because it's awesome, but I'd rather they were making ID4 stuff for sure. Maybe they will if these sell well enough to justify doing so.

What's everyone's take on the piece? Looks like no switch outs

I thought they would offer the armor-less alien as well, which is the one that I was looking forward to buying.

There's not a lot of love for the new movie out there. I know I didn't see it as a worthy successor to the original. A sequel collectible is likely to suffer some dislike by association no matter how cool it is. Which in this case, I think is pretty cool. This figure would not (in my opinion) be as visually interesting without the gun. The use of translucent resin, and the size, are also appealing to me. Lastly, subpar sequel aside, it's nice to have some diversity in my collection, which is predominantly comic book / Star Wars.

Where's the switch out normal arm? That was the only reason I was going to order it. Don't want to be reminded it's from the horrible sequel. If the gun arm is the only way to display it then forget it, I'm out.

This is the soldier version Chris. The other one that resembles more to the first design will be released later I guess. Might pull the trigger on that one myself. Don't care about this version either. Not bad, but what a sh*t sequel!

I think this piece is pretty impressive. Yes, the 2nd film sucked, but its still a cool alien statue from the ID4 universe. You know what alien film I would love to see some statues produced for, Skyline.

They stated on fb that an armorless piece of this will be released which is smaller, so crossed on which to get. Anyone plannin to get the bust alongside? Which would u go for, smaller armorless or the 32 incher armored ver?

I definitely prefer the armorless version personally, but this one looks cool regardless. If I had a spare $1200+ floating about, I'd bite.
