You’re exactly right. I think she was a potentially great character, yet they ruined her with a garbage story.

2 Billion was from hungry Star War Fans with the hype of the old cast coming back, some of that continued with TLJ plus people wanting to see Carrie Fisher's last movie but TLJ did make $700 million less then TFA that's a pretty big drop, If Episode 9 makes less then a billion I don't see her staying around...


Solo was actually a pretty good movie and it only made $400 million, the fans are peeved....

The movies were less than half the equation. Merchandise sales are how the series became so valuable and changed the economics of movies forever.

I know the toys don't sell close to what they wanted. Be curious over all how much revenue the IP generates compared to Disney's expectations.
