Its really a lot more than a black disc base. I think the color and the intro images tie in to the piece well and make the base a part of the character. The problem I have with black bases in general is the continuity break and the harsh color/media contrast. Its a nice extra effort by f4f considering their goal was making these cost effective.
Still I think some custom work for these would be awesome. Maybe a custom base or a backdrop with a space window and the Swordfish outside. Its really gonna be worth it imo.

I like E the most out of these. It's more "laid back", "cool", with some "posing".
A lot of the other poses in comparison seem like she's confused on whether she's trying to shoot someone or pose sexy (especially A & B and slightly to lesser extent, D).
C is too rigid and not so interesting.

Ended up finding the Artfx deluxe/Ex statue on a random Chinese website for a great price. Arrived today and looks awesome so I think I’m set for Cowboy Bebop.

A 1/8 scale solo fig wouldnt satisfy me. I’ve got Faye Valentine by Fewture and I still need this set. Cheers though
