My favourite of all the new statues revealed. It's stunning!

It’s bc almost all of the newest done Supergirls have been based on Artgerm’s art. And he, while a great artist, doesn’t draw the most appealing SG (IMO). Once companies stop looking at Artgerm for art direction, a great Supergirl will come.

Some of his art is great, but he also likes to draw women with deformities that translate really poorly into 3D statues.

Orbital Hypertelorism (eyes too far apart)
Marfan Syndrome (limbs that are disproportionately long)

I almost bought the SS 1/5 Catwoman, but I ultimately passed bc of the legs.

This statue stands out to me more because of the 2 poor Sideshow versions. I can see a Supergirl fan falling in love with this very easily. It's not outstanding but great for what it is. Probably the most appealing Artgerm high end statue yet.

Still waiting for a decent SG. Even a couple Fan Art ones I saw I passed on.

I don't think it's necessarily Artgerm who designs a bad looking Supergirl - it's the statue companies who focus on the wrong art that's causing the problem. This one with the cat and her weird face pale in comparison to Lau's other Supergirl pieces that weren't translated into a statue. Cuz what I think is happening is a company is telling Stanley what to draw instead of letting him draw what he wants (kinda like how after the fact Sideshow had him draw the first Supergirl PF based on the design they made without him).

Sideshow's newest Supergirl has a great face. But her costume, cloud base, and awkward pose make it really unappealing, imo, and I really believe it's Sideshow who told him what to draw instead of letting him do his own thing. I mean, look at Stanley's designs for the first Sideshow Ivy, Harley, and Catwoman PF's. They're gorgeous. And I bet he was allowed to draw what he wanted instead of it being the other way around for those three.

It's a shame this one is so unappealing. But at least it's encouraging me to get someone to retool/repaint/repurpose my Captain Marvel Sideshow piece into a Supergirl piece =)

Perceived deficiency only lies in sculptors unable to create Artgerm's source art.

The day is coming when there will be a superstar artist in both 2D and 3D.
