I'm not buying it. This is either a counterfeit and these buyers got scammed, or they want to make Weta look bad. Most of these seem to be posted with pretty new and empty profiles on FB.

Was literally going to order this 10 minutes ago. I will hold off (for now) until I see more pics. Weta has a good reputation so I'd be surprised if these recent pics are actual pics.

Maybe it was the QC fails that were supposed to be "destroyed" but some how managed to find its way into an employee's locker.

I hate to say it, but these are likely real pics of the production pieces. It's not just a 'bad paint job.' The entire sculpt is different. And it's absolutely heinous. I've NEVER cancelled a preorder due to poor quality of production pieces. First time for everything. I might lose the deposit. Oh well.

I'm not sure I'd throw in the towel yet. I too have this guy on pre-order and nervous myself but these pics look 'suspicious' to me

- This statue wasn't supposed to be released until Q3 of 2022

- Its Weta's First Time attempting this line. I think they'd put in more of an effort to make it better than those pictures

- Speaking of those pictures, I get this nagging feeling this is some sort of bootleg.

- As Stefan said, the source of those pictures also seems suspicious
