malkii! Hooray! I told you it was a good movie! And, having never seen the play, I didn't know how it ended, and was both shocked and touched.

I'm glad you liked it! I'm always afraid I'll recommend something, and people will end up hating it for whatever reason. But, I don't think you can find much fault in that film at all.

i thought it was great... but then like you i had not seen the play... so i didn't have any preconceived notions going into it...

i was shocked also at the ending, I never saw that coming...

Dominic Cooper is great to look at...

Samuel Barnett is cute little sweetie...

I want to watch it again before I have to take it back... may even try to convince Mark to watch it...

Now we just need to get the rest of these guys to watch it, and we all can discuss the movie and its stars at length.

My favorite line from it belongs to the older female teacher, talking about her college:

"I had my first pizza there. There were other firsts, of course, but it was the pizza that most impressed me."

I've seen History Boys, but really did not like it at all. I found it very forced (Bennett's dialogue can often feel that way, this was one of the worst examples) and, having been educated in a northern English grammar school and the University they all aspire to go to, I found the guys in this film to epitomise the very worst of both. Gladly real life is nothing like it, but for on the fringes. The only student I liked was the dumb one.

LOL. Well, I guess some of us here in the States have a romantic ideal of what English life and school is like. But, I can see your point. Harvard is probably only passingly resemblant to the way it's portrayed in Good Will Hunting.

Still. I liked History Boys. It did seem a bit convenient in places, but I thought it compensated for it nicely.

Jess, did you ever see the play when it began in Britain?
