That is true. Kotobukiya is still miles away, and Gentle Giant by a couple of years.

Actually guys, all companies RIGHT NOW are putting out as much stuff on a regular basis as Bowen for 1/6 statues.
But I would lament the closing of Bowen's Marvel license because no other company will ever touch the breadth of characters as he has done.

That is very true. The next generation of fans and statue collectors don't really read comics much, especially not the silver age stuff which is easily 40+ years old.

Sadly, that is the truth.

even if you take all the companies together puting out 1/6 stuff, their production is so off, like Koto we get 3 resin statues a year. And you go months inbetween actual product release. When BD was humming you would get a statue released once a month if not more.

Midtown's shipping quotes are outragously high. Its a shame for otherwise a great store to buy from.

This is true. The films will likely shape the paradigm for the next generation of collectors.

Indeed. That seems to be pretty much the immediate future. We may have a wider variety of companies making Marvel related pieces (and it is gradually getting the same for DC), but the focus by most of the companies doing so is extremely narrow, with most efforts going towards only the top tier, most popular, or 'sexiest' characters. Which, while financially understandable, is still a tough pill to swallow for all of us who have a lot of love for the more niche, less widespread popular characters on the roster.
