Another question, why is this particular Hulk artist so expensive on the covers. I've seen some pages by him that don't go for crazy prices?

Dale Keown is considered the definitive Hulk artist. He even outshined McFarlane on the series. And the Hulk pages do go for crazy prices (~$400). This particular cover is outrageous, but his Hulk covers normally sell $5,000+. Dale's Pitt work is also expensive but harder to find than Hulk. His few works before Hulk are just not appealing at all and you can get them cheap.

I agree. I'd rank Trimpe, Kirby and Sal Buscema ahead of Keown. I have nothing against Keown though.

Exactly - The Hulk title made Keown a superstar - not the other way around...

I don't think $400 is alot for a page if covers are going for 10k-15k. McFarlane Spidey pages go for 2k for an ok page and the covers go for 20k. So $400 pages are bargains compred to Keown's cover prices.

Could McF's prices have something to do with how few issues he did? Keown did almost 3 times more issues than McF did...

I don't know much about Hulk, but I know that cover is a foil cover. Anyways wasn't Keown's run focused on the smart Hulk. Did you Hulk fans like the smart Hulk? Or do you prefer dumb Hulk? Do you wish he was still smart?
