I was never a huge Kree Skrull War guy. I get tired of superheroes fighting armies.

I love most of the storylines that you all are mentioning, but if I had to choose, the Masters of Evil storyline is the one that occurred to me first.
I have to say, though--on the other side of the coin, I just got finished re-reading most of Kurt Busiek's Avengers run in the HB collections 1-4, and man, with a few notable exceptions, it was pretty disappointing.

I enjoyed Operation: Galactic Storm
the "What If" two-parter that came out regarding "What if the Avengers had lost" was a good read too. Great moment, when Hawkeye as Goliath, realizing he is down to his last can of pym particles, and doesnt have his bow and arrow with him, volunteers to take the place of Captain America so that he might live to join the resistance against the Kree, and is publically executed in Caps costume.

Busiek's "Ultimate Ultron" issues in Vol. 3 were some of the best ever produced. The Avengers may have fought a more satisfying-to-read pitched battle than against hundreds of Ultrons (for real, not as some Wanda/Bendis-generated phantom), but off hand, I can't think of one. And the payoff was unforgettable... both Thor's: "Ultron... we would have words with thee," and Hank Pym pounding the ever-loving Hell out of his twisted creation.
The Korvac Saga is another favorite, as is the Avengers vs. Defenders series (I remember that summer very fondly, haunting the stores for each issue!)...
...and say what you will, but I thought Avengers*JLA was outstanding. They don't make 'em like that any more, and we're the poorer for it.

Yes I liked the Korvac story. Hawkeye duking it out in the end was just grand. Also, wish that GotG would get more comic time. Miss seeing them.

One of my fondest memories was way back in a crossover when the Avengers fought the Defenders over the Evil Eye. That was some great stuff!

Ms Marvel's body being commandeered by a powerful entity to be born into this world, mature at an accelerated rate and then whisk her away to be his love slave; while the Avengers stand around and wish them well? It had some pretty art and the build up was ok, but I had huge problems with this issue.

I was okay with it up until the "whisked her away" part. In general, I think superheroes are all to accepting of their fellow heropes being taken to other dimensions, times, or locations on a whim.
