The alarm went off at 7am as Dr Alex had been very clear that we would meet at the con 30 mins before the doors opened in order to beat the crowds, but before even considering leaving the house, my personal fuel, a cup of tea, was needed in my Marvel cup!

And the other side so that Thor isn't neglected

So Rockette (Steph) and I then jumped in the car and our day had begun!

We first drove past some drought ridden palm trees

Then a very important place for any SF mates who are planning to one day visit, it is just 10 mins from our place

Thoughts turned to Scottie as we rolled past Sexy Land.....

And a tourist attraction for non Victorians, one of our trams....

Then, a sign appeared in the distance....WE HAD ARRIVED!!! As we grew closer, an eyebrow was raised.....

False alarm!!!! But 10 metres further and we knew we had arrived!!!!

We parked and were aghast and the queue we were confronted with!!

A few quick phone calls to locate Dr A and Vessie and we were ready to begin our adventure!!

As we entered the very first thing we faced was this! Surely a sign??? Well not once we saw the ridiculous prices.....

So we began to walk and Vessie immediately found a present for Bamfer

The girls were quick to pose with Rorscach....

Then Steph and Ves took a pic together....

Doc and I then agreed, first order of business was to find Whilce Portacio and David Yardin who were sharing a booth. We got there but alas, the organisers hadn't calculated the required space correctly so Yardin moved to Artists Alley to allow Whilce to work. And what was he working on as soon as he started inking?? Juzzy's Angel!!! It was a wonderful experience to see a master at work, especially on a piece we had commissioned!! Dr A had to shut me up after Whilce shook my hand and we began chatting as I was a blubbering mess!!

After putting in some requests with Whilce, we headed off to find Yardin, and along the way soon realised that Watchmen was going to play quite a part at the con...

Not sure who was more mesmerised by the Watchmen and Twilight stuff out of Vessie and Steph....

So with Yardin now agreeing to our commission requests *cough*, we began to roam and Steph HAD to take a pic of this, before asking if I thought they would sell it to us....

My excitement for this movie grew upon seeing this

We counted three different Kovacs on the day....

After a few hours browsing and buying, we headed over to the cafe to regroup. Outside, it was costume city.

We all agreed Ms Marvel was quite.......brave

These stormtroopers took Steph's Punisher Mighty Mugg hostage until we insisted he wasn't the droid they were looking for....

Not sure what this was about???

Chun Li had done a great job with her costume, I for one couldn't take my eyes off her!! And Steph, before you comment Vessie will vouch that you were totally checking out Yardin!!!!

Back inside, and the costume types kept getting picture requests....

Superman and "Frankie The Italian" seemed to be forming an unbeatable tag team....

Over at the celebrity signing tables, Hayden Paniterrie was breaking hearts.....

And Eric Yorkie had Twilight fans asking, "What The??"

Alex and I began to add to our collections with some great prints

While the girls were still drawn to the Twilight and Watchmen merch
