At previous cons, at the opening of the show, Tim or his table helper would hand out slips of paper with specific times (fast pass) to come back and get your sketch drawn for you in person. He used to just spend 10 minutes on them, nice to see he's spending more time with it.

Its actually a pretty good system, you just need to get to Tim early and buy one (he does this every day, so if you're too late Saturday, you still have a good chance for Sunday), it has a time on it and you come back at that time and Tim will do your drawing while you wait. Originally it was a 15 minute drawing, but at Calgary last year it was more like a 30-40 minute inkwash piece (on 9x12). For some reason, in Calgary, Tim had lots of fastpasses available, but I think you need to get to him fairly early to get one at the bigger cons.

Thanks!
At NYCC he was charging $300 for a head sketch and $700 for a full figure. I think those were done in Copic markers...that was before his Facebook post about his personal problems, so not sure if the rate is the same at shows now or not.

bad news first.

Greg Capullo doesn't sketch. What he does tho he makes a limited edition print and gives them away for free. At megacon he had about 200 of them. Later on that weekend he did a quick doodle for someone but nothing intricate.

Joe Mad doesn't usually sketch at all. if he's busy forget it. However I've seen some people get lucky when he's not busy and will bust out a few of them.

Hopefully luck will smile down upon you. You never know.

Does anyone know what Bernie Wrightson charges for a sketch? BCC is coming up and he's planning on being there.
