The factories own the companies not the other way around as is popular to suggest. The customer is not always right. If Sideshow starts pulling production on anywhere near the number of statues that have been showing up with issues to "punish" their revenue will fall at a logarithmic pace. Plus there are too many other producers lining up to take those production slots. Competition is fierce as this market is red hot right now. Sideshow has been in the game the longest and is the largest player. It is likely they can negotiate the best deals but that reduction in cost to them comes at the price of reduced quality for us.

If the suggestion that XM is paying to get better results is true this just reinforces the argument above. In business greed guarantees that any "extra" quickly becomes the norm so even if Sideshow started trying to pay for quality that would turn into the baseline pretty quickly. The proof will be to see how long XM can keep up their quality without raising their prices.

What few items are Chinese produced that actually have exemplary quality?

Simple.
I'm not experiencing issues with the statues I buy.
I've purchased fourteen so far this year alone.
Hopefully the last two I have preordered will ship before the end of the year.
The others I'm interested in aren't available for preorder yet.

Seem like they dont even acknowledge this thread.

This isnt a thread to discuss QC, its a thread to keep all the comments/rants about QC out of every other thread.

Nah still hasn't changed. I'm not defending Sideshow but I do believe SSAlex actually cares and does what she can.

If Alex, or any other Sideshow employee, does read this thread, then I'll post here once just as a supporter of Sideshow overall having QC issues that need to be addressed immediately.

I have no Sideshow products on pre-order, and as much as it's because of previous QC issues I've had with my last purchases (Catwoman PF, Wonder Woman PF, etc), there's also the quality of sculpts that I'm not happy with. Supergirl's head sculpt is a train wreck, and the Vader PF just let me down with it's lack of electronic lights, odd leg angle, and poor pricing.

And until Sideshow starts opening up to suggestions, complaints, and customer satisfaction overall (without the cryptic "we pay attention to threads and forums" responses we usually get from very select people willing to talk), then I'm not going to be willing to blindly pre-order their products like I have in the past, let alone me trusting that their final releases will be of quality that demands the high prices that are being asked of us.
