I watched Dragon Ball Z when I was in grade 6, that was when it was huge, about 6 years ago. I grew out of it though because there was always so much time spent between new episodes. Killer statues though

My advice is read the manga...that's how i started out. Fast paced and action packed! I agree the anime drags the story too much...
