Any more advice on brushes, paints, and so on?

Try acrylic paints first because they are far easier to use and way more forgiving as far as clean up when compared to enamels. If you go to a website, like Dixie Art, you can see a wide assortment of paints, airbrushes and everything in between. As someone who started off painting with a paint brush let me just tell you that buying an airbrush with a compressor is the way to go. Much cleaner and even work with an airbrush. Don't get me wrong, you will still be doing some small details, like the eyes, by hand but a majority of the work would be simplified by an airbrush. Once you get you airbrush simply practice control using a piece of cardboard.

I'm in this situation now as well. I have a paint chip in an area that looks like it is going to be too hard to hit with an airbrush. To many other things to mask/avoid. So it looks like I'll need to try to match the spot and use a brush. They used a wash on it, so it's not going to be close to perfect, but I just want to cover it up as close as possible so it's not exposed.
