I have always felt the Thor FB would be a grail for me. A piece I will never have.

I like to think this statue, that I do have, is my grail now.

Black Panther Modern Museum.

"Grail"--are we even using this in the right context?

If you went out to your LCS and bought it, how can it be a "grail"?

If it's the absolute favorite piece you own, then it's really a "centerpiece." Or THE centerpiece of your collection.

Or simply "my favorite".

A grail by definition is an object of a prolonged endeavor. If you've been lobbying to get one made for the longest time, or you've missed out when it first came out and have searched the ends of the Earth to get it, then it's a grail.

I hope you own it some day! It's a grail worth pursuing!

I agree. That's why the bronze Spider-Man and Captain America are my two grails. Far, far out of reach but, hopefully, attainable some day...

This is how I see it as well. It is for that one special item that you really want but have to work at getting if you can get it at all. I would say the Bronze Spiderman is a good example.
